Justin Fields has become a Chicago Bears franchise cornerstone

Lastly, and we don’t even really need to say much about this guy (but we will), it’s Justin Fields. This is his team. This is his football team, folks. Fields has fully broken out and become one of the most exciting, young players in this league today.

The most incredible part of Fields’ breakout is the fact that he’s done iit with a subpar offensive line and a mediocre receiving corps at best. He has done it mostly by himself, too, extending plays and blowing us away with those jaw-dropping moments throughout each game.

Against the Eagles on Sunday, Fields made NFL history. He became one of just three quarterbacks, ever, to rush for 1,000 yards in a season — and he got there in 14 games. In fact, funny enough, Fields currently sits at exactly 1,000 yards rushing on the year.

He’s also become a much better passer over the past month or so, with Luke Getsy allowing him to let loose a bit more.

It has been a long time coming, but the Bears finally have a franchise quarterback — a guy who will be around in the navy and orange for at least the next 10 years.
