Option 3: The Chicago Bears execute another blockbuster trade with the Raiders

Another option, which would be particularly amusing, is if the Bears traded back with a team like the Las Vegas Raiders. The Bears have a history of trading with the Raiders, most notably when they dealt for Khalil Mack four years ago. But, this one would be an even bigger blockbuster. Let’s assume the Raiders end up with the 10th overall pick, as they currently own.

In this instance, the Bears move back eight spots. But, they also add in a first rounder in 2024 and 2025, in addition to a third rounder in 2023 and fourth rounder in 2024. The Raiders, meanwhile, go all-in on their quarterback of the future and finally realize that Derek Carr is no longer the answer.

At number 10 overall, the Bears could go a variety of options. The biggest splash the Bears could make would be going with either of the top two wide receivers, TCU’s Quentin Johnston or USC’s Jordan Addison.

Adding either one of them would give this offense the firepower needed behind Justin Fields. Then, the focus should shift to adding talent to both sides of the line.
