Bold, spicy predictions for the Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions
By Ryan Heckman
3. Chase Claypool scores a touchdown in his second game for the Chicago Bears
In his first game with the Bears last week, newly-acquired wide receiver Chase Claypool caught two passes for 13 yards. He was also given a single carry that went for four yards.
In that game against Miami last week, Claypool was targeted six times. For a guy who just walked into the building last week, six targets is a large number. Claypool only played on 26 snaps in that game.
To say he was targeted on 23 percent of the total snaps he played is absolutely outstanding if you’re a Claypool guy. The Bears want to get him the football, and they’ll continue to do that.
On Sunday, Claypool scores. He’s going to see a minimum of nine targets/handoffs and he is going to score. The Bears gave up a pretty asking price to obtain him, so they’re going to utilize him. Once again, write it down. Claypool scores against the Lions.
