1. Patrick Kane will be traded

The Chicago Blackhawks will be wise to trade Patrick Kane this season.

The Chicago Blackhawks are in full-on rebuild mode. Players like Alex DeBrincat, Kirby Dach, and Marc-Andre Fleury have all been shown the door via trade since the calendar flipped to 2022. They clearly have the future in mind a lot more than the present.

They probably won’t flat-out use the word taking but that is what they are doing. As a result, they might consider making some even bigger moves. It might be hard to move players like Seth Jones or Jonathan Toews because of their contracts.

However, Patrick Kane’s name is fully on the table. He is still an elite player that produces offense as well as most players in the league. There are plenty of contending teams across the league that would love to add a player like Kane.

He can help any contending team take a step if they were bold enough to give up some hefty assets to get him. The Hawks could get a big haul for him and if they retain some of his salary, they can get even more. It will really help the rebuild if they gained some big-time assets like that.

This is also something that will be good for Kane. He loves playing for the Blackhawks and he can always come back down the road but a fourth Stanley Cup could be added to his resume if he is traded to the right team.
