3 players the Chicago Bears must think about benching

The Chicago Bears need to think about benching Kyler Gordon
Kyler Gordon looked like a fantastic pick by Ryan Poles, despite needing offensive help. Coming into the league, he was a total shutdown corner at Washington. However, as a pro, things have started off about as bad as they possibly could.
Through four games, Gordon has allowed 20 receptions on 27 targets — a 74 percent catch allowance rate. Those receptions have gone for over 16 yards per catch, too.
Gordon has been the biggest defensive liability for the Bears all season long, apart from maybe a general weakness against the run. But as for an individual standpoint, Gordon has been the worst player on the field and it’s not close. He is allowing opposing quarterbacks a passer rating of 140.2 thus far.
In addition to being a liability in coverage, Gordon has also notched a 20 percent missed tackle rate. That’s horrendous. That isn’t the guy we were promised coming out of Washington.
It might be time to start thinking about sitting him down for a little while. Taking some time to learn from the guys who have been in the league longer could do him some good, even though Gordon may end up being far more talented than those current veterans.
