The Chicago Blackhawks could get a pretty nice prospect for Patrick Kane.

The Chicago Blackhawks could trade Patrick Kane for a variety of reasons. For one, they would be getting a nice draft pick and a nice prospect (or multiple of each) for him if they wanted. They would also be making themselves bad enough to get in the lottery with good odds.

In this deal, they would be getting Florida’s aforementioned first-round pick that Montreal currently owns. It isn’t going to be a high first-round pick because Florida is very good but the 2023 NHL Draft is very deep so landing as many firsts as possible is a smart idea.

Filip Mesar would also be a really nice prospect for the Blackhawks to get out of a Patrick Kane deal. He is a forward that can play all three positions very well. He is 18 years old and was the 26th overall pick by Montreal in the 2022 Draft.

Mesar is a Slovakian-born player that hopes to become a very good NHL skater one day. If he came over to the Blackhawks, he might see some playing time sooner rather than later. He is only 18 so it might take a while but he is well on his way to making his NHL debut one day. These are the types of picks and prospects that the Blackhawks are looking for.
