3. Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley

The Chicago Bulls have a lot of pressure on more than just their players this year.

While they aren’t players, Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversey are the ones responsible for all the decisions the Chicago Bulls have made for the past two years.

From standing pat on not trading Patrick Williams and handing Zach a max contract, they are ultimately responsible for these decisions and where the Chicago Bulls go from here.

It doesn’t bode well, that when given the chance to dip into the luxury tax, the Chicago Bulls chose to play it safe and keep the pockets of ownership as stuffed as possible – despite everyone in ownership knowing that spending is how you build a championship team.

Ultimately, while I am not saying that AKME is on the hot seat or should be worried about being replaced, I think it is imperative that there is a clear plan in place. The Chicago Bulls’ current core isn’t a title-contending core and they lack first-round picks in 2023 and 2025.

They chose to hold onto their most valuable asset in Patrick Williams and take a swing on a rookie this year in Dalen Terry, showing they are clearly more invested in the future of this team than the present.

It’s unclear what the overall long-term plan for the Chicago Bulls is but what is clear is that AKME has taken some bold bets on certain players to get the Bulls back to contention.

All that remains are the games to be played and time will tell if those bets pay off but if they don’t, all roads will lead back to AKME and the decisions they have made  (and will continue to make) surrounding the Chicago Bulls.
