Tyler Seguin has had some big moments against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Tyler Seguin has had a very interesting career. He won the Stanley Cup as a rookie with the Boston Bruins and then faced the Chicago Blackhawks in the Final again in 2013. After that, he was traded to the Dallas Stars where he would become a division rival.

For a long time, Seguin was one of the best players in the league. That earned him a very lucrative 9.85 million dollar contract that still has many years left on it. He is the highest-paid player on a very good Dallas Stars team.

In 2021-22, the Stars were one of the better teams in the Western Conference but Seguin didn’t have that good of a year for an almost ten million dollar player. He had 24 goals and 25 assists for 49 points in 81 games played.

If Seguin had a great year and was a productive player again like the was even just a few years ago, the Stars could legit win the Stanley Cup. However, nobody really foresees that happening anytime soon which is why this is one of the worst contacts in the league.

The fact that this deal still has five years left on it spells bad news for the Dallas Stars. They need to win their Stanley Cup soon because their younger elite players are going to start making the big bucks which will change the entire outlook of the team.
