151. . C. Nashville Predators. Matt Duchene. 95. player

The Chicago Blackhawks have seen a lot of Matt Duchene over the years.

The Chicago Blackhawks have had to face Matt Duchene a lot in his career as it has mostly been spent with the Colorado Avalanche and Nashville Predators. As a result of being a very good player for most of his career, he makes a lot of money.

At 31 years old, he has three more years with the Nashville Predators making eight million dollars per year. He was well worth that in 2021-22 as he scored 43 goals and had 43 assists for 86 points in 78 games played. However, that was the first time in a long time that he was worth the money.

He might be worth it for another year or two but there is a chance that he doesn’t live up to that contract again. The Predators really need his offense in 2022-23 so they better hope that he proves to be worth the money but it has a chance to be one of the worst contracts in the division.

Before that great season last year, he had 13 points in 34 games during the short 2021 season and 42 points in the 63 games that he played the year before that. If he ever goes back down to that level of production, the Predators are going to be in a world of hurt with the rest of this deal.
