The Chicago Blackhawks can get some really good players out of Patrick Kane.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets are two teams that are in completely different spots right now. The Blue Jackets never really went through a rebuild from the last time that they were Cup contenders but they retooled their roster the right way.

Now, they might be good again really soon after being a very active team during the offseason. It might take some time to become a legit threat again but adding someone like Kane would go a long way. They would probably want a contract extension done soon if they gave up assets.

David Jiricek was the sixth overall pick made by Columbus in the 2022 NHL Draft. That was the lottery pick that Columbus had from the Seth Jones trade. Chicago can try and land that player by giving them Patrick Kane instead.

Kirill Marchenko was a second-round pick in 2018 that is trying to make his way to the NHL. With the Blackhawks, he will certainly have a better chance to further develop in the NHL and work on his skills.

Of course, like all of these trade packages, a first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft is included because the Hawks would certainly want that for Kane. No matter what, it would be a risky trade but one that could pay off big for the Hawks in the long term.
