The Chicago Cubs would need to give up some prospects for Shohei Ohtani.

Landing Shohei Ohtani would not be an easy task for the Chicago Cubs. They would need to give up a lot of players that they really like. There is a chance that it could be Major League players, Minor League players, or some combination of both.

For this trade, we can pretend that it would just be a haul of prospects. That might be the best option for the Angels as they try to rebuild this thing. They are going to be getting a new owner soon which could change the way that they view the next four or five years on the field.
