3 biggest storylines from the 3-0 Chicago Bears preseason
3. Teven Jenkins holding out
The Chicago Bears need Teven Jenkins to be the best version of himself.
The biggest issue with the Chicago Bears right now is their offensive line. They have tried to address it many times but they are still waiting for everything to click for them. It could be a big key in getting Justin Fields and the offense going in the right direction for good.
They drafted Teven Jenkins in the 2021 NFL Draft in hopes that he would be the future left tackle of the team. Now, however, it appears that he has found a home at guard which is really nice for him because things weren’t working before making the switch.
Early in camp, he was missing practice and nobody truly knew why. There were mixed reports but he ultimately came back and has been good since. He went from being a bench player to someone that might start in week one which is a wild turn of events.
There were rumors that the Bears were looking to trade him while he was missing practice and those have not gone away. It might be smart for them to keep him and see what he can do because we know how talented he is.
The preseason isn’t always this eventful but it was nothing short of exciting for fans paying attention. They still might not end up being a good team but progress was made during the exhibitions season. Now, we will wait for September 11th and the San Francisco 49ers.
