The Winnipeg Jets could consider a big-time move for Patrick Kane right now.

The Chicago Blackhawks want a lot for Patrick Kane. There is no doubt that he should command a lot in return because he is still one of the very best offensive players in the National Hockey League right now.

He can put up a 100-point season with ease and Winnipeg has some high-end talent up front that can help Kane get to that level again. You’d think this could be a great way for Winnipeg to get back in the postseason. Kane’s experience could be helpful in that quest.

Because of those, they might give up a lot. That 2023 first-round pick, as mentioned before, would be a must. They want first-round picks and they are going to get them. Davidson has shown interest in that and Kane’s return would really need it.

Chaz Lucius and Ville Heinola are both former first-round picks made by the Jets. The Blackhawks would love to add two very good prospects to the mix and a deal like that would get it done.

We don’t know if the Hawks would consider a trade like this (or any of them) for Kane but they should really consider moving him. Unless he resigns long-term and wants to be a part of a rebuild, they should move him right away. If Winnipeg is trying to be a winning team again, they could be a good spot for him.
