Multiple first-rounders could be what the Hawks look for in a Patrick Kane trade.

The Chicago Blackhawks went from zero first-round picks in the 2022 NHL Draft to three in a very short span. Kyle Davidson has shown that he is extremely interested in acquiring those so he can use have own evaluated talent.

It is clear that he knows what he wants going into the draft and does what he can t get the job done. He was very active this past summer with the draft and you can expect more of that in the coming years.

If Davidson does pull the trigger on a Patrick Kane trade, you can expect at least one first-round pick coming back to Chicago. Now, what if Kane is able to net them two first-round picks?

It probably wouldn’t be much more than that because of the expiring contract but it is something to consider.

The 2023 NHL Draft is going to be as deep as any draft in the last ten years. There is first-round talent extending well beyond the first round this year.

The top of the draft is excellent and the Blackhawks figure to be up there with their own pick. Losing Kane would increase their chances even more as he would make them an even worse team than they already are.

Winnipeg giving up these two picks for Kane would show the rest of their roster that they still believe in them and are dedicated to winning for another year. It is something for them to consider as well.
