3 wide receivers the Chicago Bears can trade for right now
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears could trade for wide receiver Darius Slayton
Lastly, the Bears could go after yet another wide receiver who has been involved in trade rumors over the summer. The New York Giants have a muddled group at wide receiver. The Giants have ton of money tied up in Kenny Golladay. They also still have veteran Sterling Shepard.
In addition, the Giants have made back-to-back selections at wide receiver, inside the first couple of rounds. Last year, they took Kadarius Toney in the first. This year, it was Wan’Dale Robinson in the second.
After appearing to have some strong chemistry with quarterback Daniel Jones, especially on deeper routes, Darius Slayton could be on his way out of New York. Once again, this is a guy who could end up providing the Bears with some solid play.
Slayton is quick, and he does a great job at tracking the deep ball. He’s an underrated receiver, but no one quite knows what the Giants’ plan is at wideout. Getting rid of Slayton means they’re getting rid of a very capable NFL wide receiver, but it could work out to the Bears’ benefit.
Just like the previous two, this is a guy the Bears could get for a late pick if they truly wanted to. And once more, this is the perfect time to do so with the regular season fast approaching.
