The Chicago Blackhawks could get a lot in a trade for Patrick Kane this offseason.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles Kings used to be fierce playoff rivals. They met in the
Western Conference Finals two years in a row (2013 & 2014) and each earned a win that led to them hoisting the Stanley Cup. They were the two best teams in the league for a long time.

Now, the Kings have since rebuilt their organization while the Hawks tried to keep their run going for too long. The Kings are now almost done so they might be willing to trade a few picks and prospects in order to add a player like Patrick Kane.

If they added someone like Kane, they would be able to build on their very successful (and somewhat surprising) 99-point season that they had in 2021-22. They might be willing to let go of some seriously amazing assets in order to get a deal like this done.

Trading two prospects like Brandt Clarke and Grans Helge along with a  first and second-round pick would certainly announce to everyone that winning is ow their priority going forward. Getting a player like Kane for this stuff would go a long way in helping them.

For the Blackhawks, landing a former high first-round pick and a high second-round pick along with two high draft picks would really help them and their rebuild. This is a great way to rebuild the organization for themselves while improving their chance at the 2023 NHL Lottery.
