Trade Number 3: Roquan Smith goes from the Chicago Bears to the Miami Dolphins

In this third scenario, the Bears also get to address a current need and find the perfect partner to do so. The Miami Dolphins are a team that have been busy this offseason, under a new head coach and adding plenty of talent to their roster.

Dealing for Tyreek Hill was one of the league’s biggest storylines this offseason, and the Dolphins very well could trade for another big name like Smith. Funny enough, they have a player of their own who could end up being traded.

The Dolphins have had discussions about trading veteran wide receiver Preston Williams as of late, and the Bears would be a perfect landing spot for Williams. The 6-foot-5 wideout would add something the Bears have been missing: size.

At the moment, the Bears are without N’Keal Harry due to an ankle injury (and Harry is a couple inches shorter). Equanimeous St. Brown is the only other bigger body who has been jiving with Justin Fields during training camp, but Williams would give him another potential outside weapon.

Also in this deal, the Bears get a haul of draft picks: a first, second and fifth rounder from Miami. Like the previous deal, the Bears now have tons of picks and extra cash to work with in 2023.
