The Chicago Bears could sign wide receiver Will Fuller

One of the biggest mysteries around the league, right now, is why veteran wideout Will Fuller still doesn’t have a job. The 6-year veteran is only 28 years old and has proven to be one of the best deep ball trackers in the game when he’s on the field.

The problem, though, is that Fuller has definitely missed chunks of time over his career. He’s never played a full season, and the question around Fuller is typically “when” and not “if” he will get hurt.

That said, the Bears were already extremely thin at receiver going into training camp. So, signing a guy like Fuller would actually be a home run. Even if Fuller eventually got hurt, whatever time he could offer them as a healthy option for Fields might be worth it.

Fields has the cannon arm to throw it deep, and Fuller has seen his share of electric, long touchdowns.

Last season ended before it could really get started for Fuller, who missed 15 games with a broken finger for the Miami Dolphins in his lone season with the team. For his career, Fuller has totaled 213 receptions for 3,136 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The numbers may not be overly impressive, but that’s because he simply hasn’t gotten the opportunity to show what he can do in a full season to this point. If Fuller is healthy right now, the Bears have no excuse to not bring him in. This is a player who could change the face of a game in just one play, and the Bears need more of that.
