The other 2022 5th round selection is a long and quick speed rusher who could make an impact as a rotational pass rusher for the Bears this season.

2.) Dominique Robinson

Dominique Robinson has been a very interesting story for the Bears thus far. Robinson, a speed rusher out of Miami Ohio, wasn’t always just that. Initially, Robinson was recruited to play quarterback out of high school, and even took reps at wide receiver early in his college career.

Obviously, Robinson eventually transitioned to defensive end, and was a force to be reckoned with for the Redhawks. As of right now, Robinson probably doesn’t have the strength, or the array of pass rush moves to be a starting edge rusher in the NFL.

This doesn’t mean Robinson can’t contribute to the Bears in 2022. I personally see him as less defined version of former Bear, Leanord Floyd. They both have similar builds, and both started their career at 24 years old.

With a bit of NFL strength training, and coaching from this Bears staff, it would be no surprise to see Robinson make an impact in a limited role this coming season. I expect to see a lot of Robinson this preseason, as veterans Robert Quinn and Al-Quadin Muhammed likely don’t see many reps early on.
