The Tennessee Titans should trade for Chicago Bears tackle Teven Jenkins

Since the Tennessee Titans allowed Jack Conklin to leave via free agency, their offensive line has been much different. One of the biggest reasons why, beyond Conklin’s exit, is the consistent injury bug biting All Pro left tackle Taylor Lewan.

Over the last three seasons, Lewan has missed a total of 17 games. Without him, the offensive line has a totally different feel to it. Lewan is one of the best in the game, and he brings a nastiness to the table.

With the Titans hoping to continue their success under veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill, protecting him should be priority number one. Still, their offensive line is a bottom-10 unit right now and Tannehill has some pressure on him after they drafted Malik Willis this year. Tennessee should take the chance on trading for Jenkins, if only to have depth in case Lewan goes down — or maybe, Jenkins eventually wins the right tackle job.

One last aspect to this trade: Derrick Henry is back from a foot injury he suffered last year and the Titans want to get the most out of him as he tries to prove he isn’t trending backwards just yet.

Whether it’s at tackle or guard, Jenkins could likely plug in as a starter if he has the right mindset in Tennessee.
