The Denver Broncos should trade for Chicago Bears tackle Teven Jenkins

The Denver Broncos became one of the offseason’s biggest storylines when they acquired Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks. For the past couple of years, the narrative around the Broncos has been similar to the Bears three years ago: they have been a quarterback away.

But, at the moment, they might be a couple of offensive linemen away from their potential. Russell Wilson has plenty to work with in Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Javonte Williams, Melvin Gordon, among others. But, he spent the past decade running for his life in Seattle, and the Broncos need to make sure he doesn’t do the same thing in Denver.

Garett Bolles is an established starting tackle, but the Broncos may not have another sure fire option for the other side. Honestly, they might not even have two established starting guards at this point. Quinn Meinerz is one, but the Broncos could use a second.

With Jenkins’ potential versatility as either a guard or tackle, depending on how other teams view him, he could plug in at either spot. Because it’s early in camp, too, Wilson would have an opportunity to gel with Jenkins a bit and would be a huge, positive influence in the kid’s life if he’s to turn this thing around early in his career.
