2. Darnell Mooney looks as good as ever, N’Keal Harry is on a mission, and Velus Jones Jr. is indeed fast.

Without violating any media asks by the Bears, let’s first just say that Darnell Mooney looks good. His mentality this year is that of an elite, number one wide receiver. He has let the media know that he is ready for any cornerback lining up in front of him, and ready to prove his worth.

With so many wide receivers getting paid and Mooney being labeled a non-number one guy, he’s definitely looked like he wants to set this league on fire. The relationship between he and Fields has been on full display, and you notice that Mooney looks like he’s ready for an even bigger year than last season.

N’Keal Harry has also been a standout, getting the coaching staff’s attention as a guy who is clearly on a mission to prove his doubters wrong — and Bears fans have to be happy about that. The 7th rounder exchanged for Harry could prove to be an excellent value, and overall a steal.

Meanwhile, a video taken from a fan shows rookie wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. completely dismantling his man in coverage, blowing past him — just see for yourself. The kid has been advertised as fast, and that’s exactly what he’s shown so far in camp. This kid is going to be a weapon, and will likely shut the mouths of all his critics as well.

Side note: Cole Kmet has completely dominated the first week of practice. His speed, athleticism and overall catch-making ability has taken on a whole, new level. For those wishing and hoping for a breakout, finally, it certainly looks as though the passing game is going to unleash his strengths.
