The Blackhawks might set the price extra high for someone like Patrick Kane.

As mentioned a few times already, the Hawks are going to get a first-round pick if they trade Patrick Kane. The 2023 Draft is expected to be one of the best in recent memory so it isn’t a bad idea to think about stocking up picks for it. It is up to them to get the most out of their selections.

That second-round pick is included here as well as the Hawks are certainly going to try and get as many picks as they can throughout the whole draft. That could end up being their mentality for every draft until they are ready to start winning again.

Mavrik Bourque and Logan Stankoven are both top Dallas Stars prospects as well that hope to become good NHL players one day. Each of them was drafted by the Stars with high draft capital over the last few years. You could also think of this trade with any two Stars prospects already mentioned and it would make sense.

If the Hawks make Kane a bit overpriced, there will be a team that pays it and it could look like this. The Stars are going to be no different than any team trying to win as they head into the new season.

We don’t know for sure if that trade is going to become a reality as there have been conflicting reports all summer. Regardless of what the Hawks do with Kane, we have to hope that it is a decision that helps the team in the long term.
