Patrick Kane could land the Chicago Blackhawks a really good prospect in 2022.

This trade is very similar to the first one suggested. Each of them sends Chicago a first-round pick as it would probably take at least that in any Patrick Kane deal. If they move him in August, December, or March, he is landing them a first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

The second-round pick in the 2023 draft suggested in the first trade becomes a 2024 fourth-round pick in this one because of the fact that the prospect going back to Chicago would be just a touch more impressive.

Wyatt Johnston is a very good forward that was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft. He is currently playing for the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League. Some elite players have come out of that organization and he is hoping to be the next.

If the Blackhawks landed a prospect like that and a couple of picks, they would certainly be excited about it as they are way more worried about winning in the future than they are right now.

If they put a guy like Johnston on a power play with someone like Connor Bedard, the Hawks would love that. In 68 Windsor games last year, he had 46 goals and 78 assists for 124 points. It was just a magnificent year for him. The Hawks would love this deal.
