The Chicago Cubs can get five good pieces for Willson Contreras in a trade.

The Chicago Cubs have gotten so much out of Willson Contreras. He is a World Series champion with them as they ended their 108-year drought in 2016. He was one of the best catchers in the league for his entire tenure with the Cubs.

He was an All-Star as recently as this year. Not only was he an All-Star, but he was also the starting catcher for the National League. A player like that might land a team five really good players in a trade.

The White Sox are trying to win so they might make a move like that. Jake Burger is in AAA rehabbing but he is an MLB-ready player. If traded, he would join his new team and make the big league roster right away. For a lot of teams, he would be a great power threat in the middle of their lineup.

Oscar Colas is the number two prospect in the White Sox’s entire system. He is a very good player that is having a really good season. Right now, he is outside of MLB’s top 100 but he is sure to find himself there over the next few years.

Seby Zavala is a catcher that the Cubs can use in place of Contreras and hope that he continues to be a really good player once he arrives. The White Sox might not even keep three catchers s they certainly wouldn’t keep four.

Jared Kelley and Wes Kath are two extra prospects (both in the White Sox top ten) that could go in this trade as well. For a player like Contreras, it is expected that the Cubs would ask for a lot. Even this might not be enough.
