The Chicago Bears could try to get something for Teven Jenkins in 2022.

The Chicago Bears started training camp this week and Teven Jenkins has not participated. He was nowhere to be found on Thursday so people are starting to worry about him. His health is the most important thing but business decisions might need to be made as a result.

In 2021, he was mostly graded as a first-round talent in the draft. He slipped to the Chicago Bears in the second round (they took Justin Fields in the first) because of injuries which was a red flag right away. He was pretty injured for the rest of that summer and into the season.

Jenkins made his way into only six games for the Bears in 2021 as a result and was only considered to be a starter for two of them. He clearly has all of the talent in the world when it comes to offensive protection but he just isn’t healthy.

As of right now, the smart option might be to trade him for an asset. If a team is willing to take him on so that they can try to get his health back to speed they should do it. The Bears don’t really have room for that where other teams might.

Any offer might be worth it for him as he could be out for a while. It is also tough to think about too because he could be moved and be amazing when he gets healthy again. The problem is that the Bears probably don’t love what they’ve seen so far.
