The 2022 Chicago Bears season promises to be a complete drag. The expectation is that they will have a hard-fought battle with the Detroit Lions for second to last place in the NFC North. There is a less than slim chance that they compete with the Minnesota Vikings or the Green Bay Packers.

That is unfortunate because we know how much the city of Chicago loves their Bears. This team has mostly been an embarrassment since winning the Super Bowl in 1985. However, there is one reason to believe that the suffering is almost over.

As training camp is set to begin this week, one player will have everyone’s attention. That player is former Ohio State University quarterback, Justin Fields. He gives this city hope that the Bears are close to becoming a legit threat to win the Super Bowl.

When fans come out to watch the practices, Fields will have the most eyeballs on him. Of course, there are other good players to watch but nothing will go right if Fields doesn’t play well. Everyone is going to want to see how he is looking out there.

The Chicago Bears have a lot of hope for their quarterback, Justin Fields.

The Bears drafted Fields in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft after trading up to get him. He fell a little bit in the draft as nobody knew who would end up being the second quarterback taken after Trevor Lawrence was the first overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Zach Wilson went to the New York Jets and Trey Lance went to the San Francisco 49ers earlier so Fields was the fourth QB taken. That obviously left a chip on his shoulder with a lot to prove. A few picks after him, the New England Patriots took Mac Jones to round out a first-round draft class of quarterbacks.

With the lack of help on the offense overall, Fields can prove to everyone that he is a high-level quarterback in 2022. There isn’t anyone like Andy Dalton or Nick Foles backing him up making him feel like his role as the starter isn’t secure. This is his team now and it will be fun to see him go out there and take command during camp.
