The Chicago Blackhawks could go for extra picks and players for Patrick Kane.

Just like the first trade, this one is necessary for Patrick Kane’s salary to be 50 percent retained by the Chicago Blackhawks. It would just be too hard for a team to take on a ten million dollar hit, especially the Oilers who have two players making as much money as McDavid and Draisaitl.

Getting a first and second-round pick is something to be very excited about for Blackhawks fans. The draft is stacked and could have around 40 players in it that are typically first-round talents. Loading up to pick there is something a rebuilding team should consider.

Dylan Holloway is a real prize as well. He is a fantastic prospect that is going to be a very nice winger in the NHL. He is someone that the Blackhawks were targeting in the 2020 NHL Draft but he was taken with the 14th pick by the Edmonton Oilers.

He played at the University of Wisconsin for two years where he was really good. He then played for the Bakersfield Condors (Edmonton’s AHL team) during the 2021-22 season where he had a really nice pro debut. He is looking to make his NHL debut in 2022-23.

Ryan McLeod is a fourth-line center that is an RFA in need of a contract. At 22 years old, he is someone for the Blackhawks to consider as someone to have and see what he becomes in a bottom six role. He could be useful for them one day, especially as a throw-in.
