Trade Number 3: The Chicago Cubs include their top prospect, among others, to land Juan Soto

For the final trade proposal, the Cubs would shell out the top of their system. Starting with Happ again, the Cubs will also include their number one overall prospect, outfielder Brennen Davis.

Some fans may not like seeing Davis go, but again, this could end up being one of the biggest trades in league history. The Cubs will have to go big. The previous two deals were enticing, but this one would be the mother of all deals for the Nationals.

Along with Davis, who likely would have been called up this year had it not been for a back issue, the Nationals again get Hernandez in this deal. This gives them the top two prospects from Chicago’s system.

Third, the Nationals get the Cubs’ number six overall prospect, and currently the best-ranked pitcher in their system, Caleb Kilian. That gives the Nationals the Cubs’ top two prospects and their best pitching prospect.

Lastly, the Nationals get the Cubs’ number 20 prospect in outfielder Yohendrick Pinango, who will quickly rise up the prospect list thanks to maybe the best pure hitting skills in the Cubs’ entire prospect group.
