3 players we want to see dominate Chicago Bears training camp

We want to see Velus Jones Jr. dominate Chicago Bears training camp
In the third round of this year’s draft, some Bears fans initially scratched their heads when Poles drafted Tennessee wideout Velus Jones Jr. He is a 25-year-old rookie drafted to a team who really needs youth and longevity out of their newly-acquired players. While Jones doesn’t necessarily fit into the really young category, he’s young enough to develop if it happens quickly. Also, don’t ask him about being an “old rookie.” He’ll give you the business.
The Bears could have had more prominent rookie prospects in Round 2, but opted for Kyler Gordon and Jaquan Brisker. So, it’s Jones who gets the pressure of making an impact right away on a team that desperately needs receivers to step up.
Now, turning on the tape, Jones is fully capable of making an impact. Without a doubt, he is one of the most electrifying players in the entire 2022 draft class. It’s somewhat unfair to expect rookies to dominate training camp, but Bears fans can only hope for that at this point. This is a roster devoid of much talent. Jones has some scary physical traits, and now all we need to see is them put to use.
Behind the scenes, it’s all about learning the playbook and developing chemistry with Justin Fields. If he can do that, then Jones has the potential to break loose in camp as a guy that catches eyes all over the football world.
