Which Eddie Jackson will show up in training camp for the Chicago Bears?

Speaking of Gordon and Brisker, they could end up having a huge impact on veteran safety Eddie Jackson. When we saw Jackson at his best, he had a strong faith in his teammates in the secondary. Jackson was able to roam free and focus more on making game-changing plays while the corners did their job, and his fellow safety helped out more in run support.

Fortunately, Brisker is an excellent run-stopping safety. He has no problem coming up and making stops around the line of scrimmage. The Bears haven’t had a real threat next to Jackson since Adrian Amos, and if Brisker plays well early on, it will allow Jackson to do more of what he used to.

We want to see a motivated Jackson, though. He definitely heard the critics last season; even former Bears like Lance Briggs called him out. Hopefully, he’s taken last season to heart and has looked long in the mirror. The Bears paid him like an elite safety, but he’s been anything other than that.

Jackson is one of the veterans in this group now. He’s going to be relied on heavily in his position, and fans want to see him come out motivated and ready to turn the page to a new chapter. No more half-hearted tackling. No more delirious moments. The time for Jackson to revert to form is now.
