What will the Chicago Bears defensive line look like after training camp?

For the last few years, the Bears’ defensive line has been a rather strong group when healthy. Chicago lost two key starters in Eddie Goldman and Akiem Hicks, who are two of the best in the NFL against the run.

Replacing them with Justin Jones and Al-Quadin Muhammad was a sufficient set of moves, especially when considering their age. If both are healthy, they should end up starting alongside Angelo Blackson and last year’s All Pro, Robert Quinn.

If the Bears roll out with those four, and are able to rotate Trevis Gipson and Khyiris Tonga in as well, they’ll have a phenomenal six-man rotation. The biggest question about this group, though, is whether or not Quinn is going to be on the team after camp.

For a while now, Quinn’s name has been involved in trade rumors and he’s even been rumored to want out of Chicago. That might be one of the main reasons the Bears drafted Dominique Robinson and are very high on him.

If Quinn is traded (and he probably will be sooner rather than later), then that will give Robinson a bigger opportunity to prove his worth for the future.

The other question mark might be Mario Edwards, who has had a couple of issues with attitude and even an arrest. Will he stick around?

This is a group that will look incredibly different than it has in recent seasons, but one that could be deeper than ever.
