Chicago Bears training camp could boost these players’ value

Chicago Bears wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown could rise during training camp
Let’s be real, for a minute, here. The Bears’ receiving core is one that is laughed at around the league. Outside of Darnell Mooney and Byron Pringle, it is full of unproven guys. Even Mooney and Pringle have been, at best, a number two or three receiver during their short careers.
Beyond those two, and rookie Velus Jones Jr., this position group is wide open. It is going to be a battle. The Bears signed a bunch of veterans to compete such as David Moore, Tajae Sharpe, Dante Pettis and Equanimeous St. Brown.
Now, one thing we need to remember is that St. Brown was one of the Bears’ initial free agent signings. Sure, it wasn’t a huge contract and he hasn’t done a whole lot in the NFL yet. But, St. Brown is the one guy Chicago has with size on the outside. Maybe, just maybe, he seizes this opportunity and proves he can be a dependable outside receiver after a few seasons of playing sparingly with Aaron Rodgers.
St. Brown stands 6-foot-5 and possesses a monster frame. His big body is the type that’s coveted by a lot of scouts. He’s in the league for a reason. If he has a strong camp, St. Brown will earn playing time.
