The Chicago Bears should consider signing Will Fuller before training camp

This is the type of move the Bears make to truly try and give the offense a jolt of energy. This is the move Ryan Poles strikes with, right now, to attempt to close the mouths of so many critics. After not doing much at the wide receiver position this offseason, Poles has certainly heard his fair share of negative comments about what Justin Fields has to work with going into his second season.

Similar to a young Deshaun Watson, who had a big arm and mobility, Fields could end up jiving with Will Fuller. The huge plus, here, is that Fuller gives the Bears two legitimate deep threats playing opposite of Darnell Mooney — and Fields already has great chemistry with Mooney.

Fuller, when healthy, is maybe the best deep threat in the entire league not named Tyreek Hill. Funny enough, Hill replaced Fuller in Miami this offseason and, after an injury that put him out for most of the 2021 campaign, Fuller is still looking for his new team.

Thinking about an offensive set with Mooney, Fuller and Velus Jones Jr. on the field together could be a lethal combination. No matter where you look, there is immense speed. The Bears’ offense still needs another weapon, and Fuller is as good of a weapon that’s still available. At this stage, taking a flier on Fuller is a no-brainer. His big plays can break open a game in a hurry, and the Bears fan base would love more of those.
