The Chicago Blackhawks could land some really good players in the 2nd round.

Round Two – Pick 38 – Jack Hughes

Of course, you know about New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes by now. He is already one of the best players in the NHL but this Jack Hughes is a little bit different. He is a kid coming out of Northeastern University. He has no relation to the other Jack Hughes.

He does, however, have relation to the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens as Kent Hughes is his father. It will be interesting to see if he makes it past them in the second round and if he does, the Hawks should be all over it. He is going to have another year at Northeastern in 2022-23 and the Hawks would love to add a good young forward to their organization.

Round Two – Pick 57 – Mattias Havelid

The Chicago Blackhawks could use a prospect that is considered a puck-moving defenseman. They have a lot of big defensive defensemen in the system but they could really use their next power-play quarterback. Mattias Havelid is someone to consider in the second round.

This is a pick that originally belonged to the Minnesota Wild. The Hawks acquired this pick from the Minnesota Wild in the Marc-Andre Fleury trade. Using it on a solid puck-moving defenseman like Mattias Havelid would be a great idea.
