Devin Kaplan

The Chicago Blackhawks could use a top forward prospect like Devin Kaplan.

Devin Kaplan is someone that the Chicago Blackhawks could consider with either of their second-round picks (depending on if he is still on the board or not). He is a right-wing that hails from the United States Development program.

Kaplan is someone that is worth considering in the second round because of his complete game. He isn’t a highly skilled forward but he brings a little bit of everything. He could be that swiss army knife type of player that every team needs in their forward group.

At his highest value, he could be one of those guys who is the third man on a line. If a second line consists of two very skilled players as a pair, you’d throw someone like Kaplan on the line to help them get the most out of their game. Those players are incredibly important on good teams.

Expect this kid to be drafted more towards the top of the second round. In 2022-23, he is going to play for Boston University. He will have some very good teammates there that will certainly help his development. A lot of great prospects come from there and he is hoping to be one of them.
