Rudy Gobert comes to the Chicago Bulls following the trade of Coby White

Following the previous trade, the Bulls could roll right into another deal with the assets they have stockpiled. One of the biggest rumors around the league, right now, is the impending trade of Rudy Gobert from the Utah Jazz.

At this point, most would be shocked if Gobert wasn’t dealt. The only real question is where he’ll be traded to. The Bulls have been mentioned as one of the top destinations for Gobert over the past few days, but the Jazz would want a deal involving at least one impact player and a couple of picks. Fortunately, the Bulls could have just the offer.

In this deal, the Bulls take the two picks they received from Denver and flip them over to the Jazz. Utah would also get center Nikola Vucevic in return, plus forward Troy Brown Jr. via sign-and-trade.

Gobert coming to Chicago will immediately make the Bulls a contender for the top spot in the East. Chicago already has two elite defensive players in Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, but adding the league’s best defensive player in Gobert makes them as good a defensive team as any in the NBA.

From this point, the Bulls would just have to add a few veteran pieces to their bench and get ready for a title run in 2023.
