The Chicago Blackhawks could get some nice players for Alex DeBrincat.

The Chicago Blackhawks know how good of a goal scorer Alex Debrincat has become. He took a minute to develop really good playmaking abilities which makes him an even stronger goal scorer because he is a threat to both pass and shoot now.

Alexander Holtz of the New Jersey Devils is someone who is hoping to do similar things. Like DeBrincat, Holtz came out of the draft as a pure goal scorer. His playmaking isn’t what it can become just yet but it will come in time.

The Blackhawks could consider Holtz in a trade back to Chicago for DeBrincat. They would have t hope that he develops into what DeBrincat has become. As a former 7th overall pick looking to become an NHL regular with a very similar set of skills, it is possible.

Kevin Bahl is one of those big mean defensive defensemen that you think about. Like Holtz, he still has a lot of developing yet to do but he should be an NHL regular soon. He was acquired by New Jersey in the Taylor Hall trade with the Arizona Coyotes.

New Jersey’s first-round draft choice is the second overall pick this year. They won that spot via the lottery. There are a lot of really nice players to choose from there but trading it for DeBricnat (amongst other players) is certainly on the table.

The Hawks would be very wise to try and get a pick like that this year as they don’t have a first-round draft choice. They traded theirs away to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Seth Jones. A trade like this is one that gets them back in, helps them, and helps New Jersey.
