3 overly ambitious trades for the Chicago Bulls to land Rudy Gobert

Trade Number 1: The Chicago Bulls package Coby White and Nikola Vucevic
Another recent rumor involves the Bulls shopping Coby White ahead of the draft on Thursday. Apparently, Chicago is “not in love” with White and very well may package him with their no. 18 overall pick in the draft to either try and move up higher, or to land a veteran contributor.
Utah might be a nice place for White to reset his career, spelling a guy like Donovan Mitchell off the bench. Mike Conley would also be a fantastic mentor for White, as well.
In this package, the Bulls will include White with the obvious guy, center Nikola Vucevic. In any deal, the Jazz will be getting Vucevic back, and not just for salary reasons. Of course, the Bulls have to try and come close to matching Gobert’s salary. But, Utah will also desire an above-average center in return, who can come in and start right away.
Not only do the Bulls give up the former no. 7 pick in White, along with Vucevic, but they also deal away a first-round pick. Now, if this pick is from the upcoming draft, then that’s going to be more favorable to Utah than any future picks. If the Bulls could get away with dealing a future first, that would work out much better for them.
If it comes down to it, though, the Bulls would probably have to give up this year’s first. They would also give up a future second-round pick, with the year of the pick yet to be determined.
