The Chicago Blackhawks could get multiple firsts for Kane if they wanted.

Patrick Kane might command a lot. Whoever gets him (if anyone) will be paying a lot in order to do so. Buffalo has enough assets to get it done and keep its future extremely bright. A trade like this is something that would work out well for both sides.

Victor Olofsson is a restricted free agent and the Blackhawks would need to sign him. He is a former seventh-round draft pick that is now a very good NHL player.

Any NHL team would love to have this guy in their middle six. If the Hawks decide to keep players like Alex DeBrincat and Seth Jones, he would be a perfect fit based on his age.

Casey Mittelstadt is a little bit younger but was a much higher draft pick. He hasn’t really lived up to his hype and could really use a change of scenery.

The Blackhawks would probably provide him with the second chance he needs to truly max out his potential. At 23 years old, he is the perfect kind of “project” to take on as long as he isn’t the main piece of the deal.

As good as Olofsson is, he isn’t even the main piece either. The big thing here is not one but two first-round picks. As mentioned before, the one from Vegas comes from the Jack Eichel deal.

The one from the Florida Panthers came in the deal that sent Sam Reinhart down south. The Hawks would go from zero first-round picks (which they desperately need) to two in one deal here.

Obviously, trading Kane would be hard on everyone. The organization was led by him for a long time and the fanbase loves him for what he has done on the ice.

However, some of these deals would really help the Hawks in the future. If Buffalo is the team, one of these trades or a variation of it would work.
