3 free agents who could immediately start on the Chicago Bears

Linebacker Kwon Alexander would start right now for the Chicago Bears
At the moment, the only two sure starters at linebacker are Roquan Smith and Nicholas Morrow. At the third spot, the Bears could choose from a variety of names, but none are overly exciting. Right now, it could end up being longtime special teams standout Matthew Adams who came over from Indianapolis this offseason.
However, veteran Kwon Alexander is still out there and could have plenty of football left in him.
The 27-year-old Alexander has experience playing multiple linebacker positions, and even led the league with 108 solo tackles at the middle linebacker spot back in 2016 with the Bucs.
The biggest question mark with Alexander is health. Since 2017, he has missed a lot of time, and has yet to play a full season. But, when on the field, he’s still an above-average linebacker who can be effective dropping back in coverage.
Alexander has come up with eight career interceptions and 32 passes defended, proving he is a versatile player at the position. Being a sure tackler is also an attractive aspect of his game, and something the Bears have lacked continuity with over the last couple seasons.
