Jalen Williams would give the Chicago Bulls insurance for Lonzo Ball

Next up, Santa Clara shooting guard Jalen Williams comes in on the list and would actually fit extremely well with the Bulls and what they like to do.

Head coach Billy Donovan loves to move some of his guys around, playing them at different positions where they can offer some versatility. For example, playing Javonte Green at power forward or center at times was something that Donovan did and it actually worked out well.

Seeing Alex Caruso start at point guard in the postseason was the smart move, rather than throwing the rookie Dosunmu into the fire.

Williams is a 6-foot-6 wing who comes into the league with highly-skilled facilitating tools. Last season, Williams was the only player in college basketball to average at least 18 points, with over four rebounds and four assists, and shooting 56 percent from two, plus 41 percent from three.

It was one of the most efficient seasons in the country, by any player at any position, last season. Williams’ versatility, being able to play positions 1-through-3, is what makes him so appealing to the Bulls. He’s a great shooter, but also knows how to facilitate the offense and make those around him better.
