Coming off a breakout season in 2021, Darnell Mooney could take another step forward and become a Pro Bowler.

Darnell Mooney is starting to become one of the bright young stars in the NFL. Last season, Mooney grabbed 81 passes for 1055 yards and 4 TD’s. These are very solid numbers for an NFL wide receiver. These stats aren’t Pro Bowl caliber, but this next season is where Mooney is going to really make his name.

The Bears offense last season was a disaster to say the least. With a new coaching staff, scheme, offensive line, and Allen Robinson on his way out, there are so many reasons why Mooney is going to have an even better year than he did last season.

The departure of Allen Robinson is probably the most important transaction of the offseason for Darnell Mooney. Without Robinson, Mooney is the clear number one receiver in Chicago.

Even with Robinson on the roster, Mooney was targeted 140 times last season. That is already a ridiculous number, but it would be no surprise if that number rose this coming season.
