4 free agents the Chicago Bears could sign before mandatory minicamp

The Chicago Bears could sign defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi
Early on in free agency, Ryan Poles made his first big splash by signing former Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi. He was supposed to come in and fill the starting three technique immediately, providing the Bears with a strong, athletic interior pass rusher who is also a capable run stopper.
Unfortunately, Ogunjobi failed his physical due to a foot injury not completely healing just yet. Therefore, the Bears had to nullify the contract, leaving Ogunjobi a free agent once again. To this day, he still has yet to be signed.
Poles left the door open for a possible second attempt at signing Ogunjobi, so you know the Bears have definitely kept that scenario in mind. Now just days away from a mandatory minicamp, this would be the perfect time to bring Ogunjobi back.
Allowing him another shot would not only be great for him, but for the Bears. If healthy, Ogunjobi would provide the Bears with another huge boost up front. This Bears defense could be sneaky good in 2022, and Ogunjobi’s presence would only further that notion. Should Chicago reach out again and engage with Ogunjobi’s camp, Bears fans would likely be thrilled.
