The Chicago Bulls could trade Zach LaVine to the Atlanta Hawks

One of the top suitors for LaVine, this summer, is the Atlanta Hawks. After making a late-season push last year to get into the play-in tournament, it’s clear the Hawks have some talent. Actually, they have Trae Young, who can go absolutely ballistic on any given night. But, he could use a running mate — and the perfect guy might just be LaVine.

In this deal, the Hawks would get LaVine and LaVine only. But, they would give up a nice haul in order to get him. This might not be too big of a deal, either, because Atlanta was already rumored to be shopping just about anyone on their roster last year around the deadline.

The Bulls would get 23-year-old guard Kevin Huerter and veteran forward Danilo Gallinari for LaVine. In addition, Chicago would get a first rounder.

Huerter would give the Bulls a spot starter at the two guard, unless they kept Coby White and wanted to slide him in there next to Lonzo Ball (assuming health for the latter).

In any event, the Bulls get a young guard who can shoot an above average three.

Speaking of three, the addition of Gallinari would give the Bulls one of the long-tenured three-point shooters in this league. He could come in and start over Patrick Williams, or might be best served as a guy who comes off the bench and plays 25 minutes per night. Gallinari has tons of experience and gives the Bulls depth in their front court — which is much-needed.
