5 Chicago Bears players with the most to prove this year

Chicago Bears players with the most to prove in 2022: QB Justin Fields
Lastly, how could we not mention Justin Fields in a list of Chicago Bears players with something to prove? This is the guy getting thrown to the wolves, after all. If you believed anything the media had to say, you’d feel bad for the guy. The media doesn’t believe Fields has enough to work with and some even think the Bears are ruining him.
But, that’s not how Fields is operating. He believes that, while the Bears don’t have a big name receiver, that his receivers are still a very talented group. Fields is not short on confidence, and he’s out to prove everybody wrong about this Bears offense.
It was a rough rookie season with plenty of mistakes, but Fields’ second year is a fresh slate. He’s in a new offense that plans to work through his strengths, unlike what Nagy did for the rookie last year.
Fields and the Bears offense are at the top of the list in terms of groups that are easy to criticize — and have often been lambasted this offseason because of the “lack of talent” surrounding this group. But, it’s on Fields now to prove them all wrong. If he comes out and shows a big improvement from Year 1, he’ll be able to quiet the national media.
