5 Chicago Bears players with the most to prove this year

Chicago Bears players with the most to prove in 2022: T Larry Borom
First up is last year’s fifth-round pick out of Missouri, offensive tackle Larry Borom. Much of the recent focus this offseason has been on the Bears selecting a plethora of offensive linemen in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Everybody wants to talk about Braxton Jones, Zachary Thomas, Ja’Tyre Carter and Doug Kramer. After all, Poles did exactly what he should have done on Day 3 of the draft. He loaded up on offensive line help.
But, have people forgotten about Borom? He did start eight games last year as a rookie and played just about as good as you could have asked a fifth-round pick in a miserable offensive scheme. He does have ideal tackle size and very well could end up being the Bears’ starter.
He will have competition, though. And that’s a great thing. He’ll have plenty to prove because of the Bears drafting so many offensive linemen this year, but as the one with starting experience, it’ll be up to Borom to keep the rookies on the bench for now.
If the Bears get a strong summer out of Borom, that’s about as much as they could have hoped for. Borom proving himself as a starter is best-case scenario for the Bears for 2022.
