The Chicago Bulls should target guard TyTy Washington in the 2022 NBA Draft

Another option for the Bulls, if they were to go with a guard, is TyTy Washington out of Kentucky. Anytime you can snag a Wildcat in the first round, it usually bodes well — usually. Just don’t mention the name Marquis Teague.

As for Washington, he has great size for a point guard at 6-foot-3 but is also able to play the two spot. He is a player the Bulls could use almost in the same type of role as Ayo Dosunmu who will play as a second point guard on the floor at times.

Washington does a lot of things well, similarly to Ayo. He is a strong defender, averaging 2.6 steals per 100 possessions last year for Kentucky. Washington is a patient, crafty player who does not turn the ball over a lot and simply makes smart plays. He can facilitate when needed, but can also score when needed, too.

He has the ability to pull up and knock down jumpers off the dribble, as well as shoot an above average three ball (35 percent last year). Over the 2021-2022 season, Washington averaged 12.5 points, 3.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.

As the third guard in the rotation and possibly taking over the job held by White, Washington could be a great value at no. 18, should he fall a little further than where he’s being mocked.
