The Chicago Bulls should target guard Jaden Hardy in the 2022 NBA Draft

One of the priorities this offseason must be finding some additional scoring off the bench. As the number two high school recruit a year ago, Jaden Hardy chose to play for the G League Ignite rather than attending college. He came out of high school as a walking bucket and is known as a pure scorer — and that would help the Bulls greatly.

Right now, the Bulls have a streaky Coby White as their main bench scorer. Guys like Derrick Jones Jr. (if retained) and Troy Brown Jr. (if retained) cannot score at the needed level. Ayo Dosunmu is good for a few buckets here and there, but the bulls need that go-to shooter.

Hardy can certainly shoot, which is nice. But, he is also somebody who will take the ball to the hoop and knows how to finish. His game does not solely consist of shooting. The fact that he can create for himself takes pressure off a young point guard like Ayo as well, and the two of them could work well off of each other.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard had a tough year for the Ignite, shooting just above 25 percent from three-point range and only 35 percent from the field altogether. He definitely needs time to adjust to the pro game, but based on his experience already against fellow pros, he’ll get there. Most believe Hardy still has a solid career ahead of him in the NBA, and would be a fine pick if he was there at no. 18.
