3 active Chicago Bears players made better by 2022 NFL Draft
The Chicago Bears have a lot of faith in what Darnell Mooney can do for them.
The Chicago Bears have had a lousy offense for a long time now. There have been some good moments from time to time but it has been mostly a lot of garbage. However, one thing they have going for them right now is Darnell Mooney.
Mooney was one of the steals of the 2020 NFL Draft as he was a fifth-round pick (173rd overall) out of Tulane. With the departure of Allen Robinson, Mooney is slated to be the number one receiver on this team right now.
Darnell Mooney is a very good player. However, he is probably a very good number two or an elite number three on a Super Bowl-caliber team. That is why getting more wide receiver help would go a long way for both him and the Bears.
The Bears might have helped Mooney with some of their selections in the 2022 NFL Draft. They drafted Velus Jones. Jr out of the University of Tennessee. That was an outstanding selection. He can line up opposite Mooney which can help the Bears be significantly more creative.
If both of these guys can play at the top of their game, they can both be very effective receivers. This team has struggled to score points recently and receivers that can be game-changers will help with that cause. Darnell Mooney had to absolutely love this pick.
